Syntha Harris-Wendel

Principal

AIDP Professional, IDS, IFDA

Interior design is often influenced by current fashion. For over two decades Syntha Harris-Wendel worked as a runway and print model in the fashion industry. She cultivated her passion for design during her time working for numerous European and American fashion houses. At the same time she pursued her education by studying interior design at Marymount University.

She founded her interior design company, Storybook Rooms in 1996.  Although she began her business designing upscale children’s rooms, demand for her services soon dictated that she refocus her design skills in every room and aspect of the home.

Her stylish interiors reflect the individual tastes and needs of each client, as she aims above all to help them articulate a vision that is rooted in the client’s sense of how they want to live in their new space. She possesses a real understanding of a client’s needs and a strong commitment to the most successful end result. Whether her clients’ tastes range from traditional to contemporary her work is fresh, unique and grounded in incorporating modern elements into timeless design principals. Fashion, art and travel each play an important role in the innovative interiors Syntha creates.

Her talent was recognized as she was honored as the winner of the Casa Fiora International Design Competition.  Her work has also appeared in numerous publications.
